Whisky Tasting?
I don't know because I'm a blend drinker, but, while I do agree that you can differentiate between malts,I know that you can't between blends, and I did the test to prove that.I once ran a bar in which the J.W. reps had arranged a lunchtime meeting, and had done the right thing by calling ahead to let me know.A quick check in the cellar revealed that we were out of JW Red,which is obviously what they were going to drink, since,as I'm sure you know, the Scots working man tends not to go in for deluxe or malts, especially when he's on a bender.(Should I have needed to add that a lunchtime meeting and a bender are synonymous?)Anyway, one quick search through the bottle skip produced an empty JW Red bottle, which was then filled with Old Inverness(and later re-filled again and again),and never a word of doubt came from those guys as they tried to keep their money in the company by guzzling Old Inverness all afternoon. As my granny would have said,it just goes to show ye.
