How can I build a web page with a client log in?

I am starting to do photography and i would like to build a website. I began building it via a template on wix.com. However, after looking online at other photographers websites I see they have a log in page for their clients that is pword secured so they can view all their photos. How can I do this? SHould I be building my page using another site? please help....
