How do i equalize my amplifier?

i recently hooked up two rockford p3 10's with a p1000-1bd, but i'm having trouble EQing it properly. i can't seem to find a happy medium; i'm missing some lows and highs so they hit with the kick drum perfectly but when the b guitar comes in it really only hits medium range notes and skips the lower ones and higher ones. so really i just need to know how to make their range a little wider. like what Hz do i set everything to? i have an EQ for the sub in my head unit, the b knob for the amp, plus the settings on the amp....ANYONE???
