If I were going to choose between your choices, I would choose the hedgehog. I think the flying squirrel would scare me. I wonder if you have checked out marc marrone from animal planet, marcmarrone.com, or petxperts2@aol.com, they might be able to answer this for you, since these are such unusual pets.
