She Asked Me...?

I have this older married friend who is a paraplegic & another friend who is on the heavy side. We (three) had a conversation about friendship, basically, we have no other friends. So, she asked me "How is one supposed to make friends when seemingly no one wants to be friends? You hear it all the time people who want some friends but they don't even wanta talk to me. Not on email or any other way. So, how do I make friends?" I said I'd ask on Answers & get back to them. If anyone can help, PLZ DO. Thank you deeply. =}
